The role
As an Inventory Manager you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. As a focal point for inventory management, you will receive customer orders and challenge and satisfy customer demands in execution of the Strategic business objectives.
Day to day, you'll validate demands, challenging when appropriate and wherever possible, drawing from company surplus stock to fulfil demands, as well as
  • The responsibility for achieving availability, performance, savings and targets relating to inventory availability and demand satisfaction.
  • Ensure inventory is available I.A.W. agreed supply plans, ensuring that inventory levels / budget are maintained within agreed boundaries.
  • Review inventory performance against business requirements and make recommendations on any opportunities to make improvements.
  • Liaise with the Logistics provider, MoD Agencies, RN Stores or End User Demanders, as appropriate, in the supply of materials or equipment in a timely and effective manner.

This role is a hybrid role as when required team meetings, you may be required to work on site for longer periods if project demands.
Essential experience of the Inventory Manager:
  • Inventory Management Competence and background.
  • Thorough knowledge of systems and processes relating to inventory management and material control.
  • Analytical skills to analyse data and make decisions.
  • The ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications for the Inventory Manager:
  • Minimum maths & English at GCSE grade 4.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
