Investigation Officer
Location: Luton
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract – 12 months
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week. Core hours will be Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00
Salary: £35,982 per annum

We are proud to be working with Bedfordshire police who are currently recruiting for an Investigation Officer to join their team based in Luton.
What will you be doing?
This role will be working within The Emerald Team who deal with a variety of offences within the Domestic abuse arena. This team connotes value, new beginnings, and future prospects. The team tackles the offending and provides a platform of recovery for those subjected to these crimes.
Investigation officers will work alongside a team of detectives tackling all types of crimes.
What do you need?
Applicants should demonstrate an investigative mindset, exceptional victim care, reasoned decision making and a desire to achieve outstanding outcomes for victims of crime and their families. You must also hold a PIP (Professional Investigation Programme) Level 1 accreditation.
You will also need:
· A full driving licence
· Good standard of written and verbal communication skills for correspondence and report writing
· IT literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and other databases, as well as an awareness of social media and the ability to work and adapt to mobile technology
· The ability to travel to different locations across Bedfordshire for work, meetings, or training
