SJC Partners have been mandated by a leading European Investment and Asset Management business to recruit an Investment Strategy Associate to monitor investment strategies on behalf of investors, analyse market risks and returns and assess new opportunities for their pan-European fund Management Business.
More specifically responsibilities will cover:
* Shaping Fund Models to support Management decision-making
* Liaising with key stakeholders (inc. Finance, Operational & Investment teams) with regards to model inputs / outputs
* Ad hoc analysis / project work related to the capital allocation and planning process
* Conducting analysis over a range of projects to support fund management decisions across third party-managed funds.
* Developing models and analytical methods to effectively analyse performance and profitability of the various investment strategies conducted within the Group.
* Monitoring the performance of the fund(s) under management, investigating trends and identifying areas requiring further analysis.
* Analysing returns, both actual and projected, to support the decision-making process across new investments.
* Contributing to analysis of existing positions, including stress-testing & sensitivity analysis for existing assets under management.
Applicants should possess a strong academic background within a quantitative discipline e.g Business, Economics, Accounting or STEM related field of study allied to 5+ years' relevant work experience from a Financial Consulting firm/Financial Services Institution/FTSE business with exposure to financial modelling. A relevant financial qualification (ACA/CFA) would be a help but by no means a pre-requisite - a strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts is however.
This represents a truly unique front office investment role to Manchester in which you will shape major investment decisions and strategy, capital formation decisions as well as manage ongoing portfolio management, valuation and performance monitoring.
