- Working closely with the deal lead on reviewing new investment opportunities
- Conducting industry research, due diligence, and deal evaluation
- Building and sensitising complex financial models
- Understanding performance drivers and using a variety of tools to analyse performance of portfolio companies
- Keeping up to date on portfolio performance, including forecasting, commentary, and putting together investment information for internal monitoring purposes
- Working with portfolio companies to update financial models and analysis tools to progress companies through the turnaround process
- Reviewing and updating fund's deal database as well as activities associated with the deals on a regular basis
- Following up on the companies' commitments/deliverables/research, documenting the meeting outcomes and follow through
- Analysis and recommendations of companies invested in
- Co-pilot all aspects of deal execution including market, financial and legal due diligence, structuring, negotiations and preparing investment documents, etc.
- Previous experience in a similar position in Private Equity. Food Service experience is considered a plus
- Understanding of financial statements, capital structure, cash flow analysis, capital markets and portfolio management
- Very strong analytical abilities and advanced financial and business modelling skills. Good command of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
- Detail-oriented, structured thinker with strong project management skills, able to perform in a high pressure environment to meet tight deadlines
- Willing and able work with colleagues in multiple jurisdictions using appropriate communications technology
- Self-organised, self-motivated, action oriented and efficient
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Additional European languages are helpful but not essential
