The Falkirk Council area is home to Scotland’s largest Industrial complex, the largest container port and a diverse business community. The area is important to the nations transformational economic change, as we transition towards a Net Zero economy. To meet the challenges ahead, Falkirk Council with partners is leading on nationally significant economic growth and Investment Programmes. These ambitious and transformational programmes include the Falkirk  Growth Deal programme, the Forth Green Freeport development, the Falkirk Tax Increment Finance Programme, the Falkirk Levelling Up Funds programme and Greener Grangemouth. Within these programmes are projects that aim to transform our economy, places, and communities, create enabling infrastructure and bring forward major developments. Major development projects that Falkirk Council collaborates on include the Falkirk Gateway, the Forth Green Freeport, Scotland’s Canal Centre and Transition Skills Centre.  Innovation Projects include the Grangemouth Sustainable Manufacturing  Campus and Place projects include the Falkirk Arts Centre and the Falkirk Sustainable Transport Hub.

We are now seeking a manager to head up our Investment Programmes Management Unit who have a pivotal role in delivering these programmes and projects within the Invest Falkirk Division of the Council’s Place Services. The successful candidate manage a team of professional officers to ensure that the projects  and programmes are delivered effectively and  efficiently. They will work collaboratively with Industry leaders Councillors, key stakeholders,  communities and the UK and Scottish Governments to deliver  mutually agreed outcomes and outputs.

You will work 37 hours per week.
