GoodOaks Homecare, a leading homecare agency based in Derby is now recruiting for talented individuals wanting to develop and progress their career in accounts and invoicing.
Principle Duties and Accountabilities:
- Invoicing customers in a timely and accurate manner
- Supporting and providing relevant information to the payroll team
- Reconciliation duties
- Paying customers
- General accounts duties
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Performing reconciliations of invoicing to ensure customers have been correctly billed. This will involve the extensive use of spreadsheets and advanced Excel functions.
- Other data analysis on sales ledger information to enable compliance/reporting in line with customer requirements and to provide insight to the wider finance function.
- Using our work management system to invoice customers promptly and accurately.
- Maintain records on the work management system.
- Dealing with all sales invoice queries, liaising where necessary with other teams within the Company.
- Uploading sales invoices to customers’ portals.
- Processing all work to ‘end of month’ deadlines.
- Undertaking general office duties, including filing of work records as required
- Any additional activities required by the Company to assist with ongoing workload.
Key skills and experience:
- Strong computer skills with experience with MS Office applications and other computer systems – specifically Microsoft Excel (Lookups, Pivot Tables etc.).
- Previous experience in Sales Ledger would be beneficial.
- Good attention to detail, able to work accurately and carefully with a large volume of data.
- Able to follow processes and procedures when undertaking work.
- Ability to work on own initiative following initial training and support.
Qualifications / Competency:
- Previous experience in a financial background would be an advantage.
- Comfortable with using various IT packages.
- Excellent communication skills essential.
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels.
