Duties will be;
- To lead a team of highly skilled and specialist subject matter experts, project managers and analysts to ensure that the pay and reward offer is fit for purpose, defendable and achieves its intended outcomes.
- Accountable for the engagement with our Trade Unions during this process promoting partnership working and negotiation and consultation at relevant stages.
- Direct a co-ordinated customer engagement programme ensuring that the proposed approach aligns with the strategic direction of the council and meets business requirements.
- Direct market research and benchmarking initiatives to ensure the competitiveness and fairness of the pay and reward offering.
- Accountable for communication with stakeholders during the programme working in partnership with our internal communications team.
- Drive a high-performance culture for all staff engaged in the project. Timescales must be met and a high-quality product delivered.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
- Maintain proactive budget monitoring and scope potential additional cost if risks are identified throughout the programme. Escalate these risks through programme governance.
- Manage a budget of up to 1m to deliver the programme.
- Lead the transition of the Programme to 'Business as Usual' ensuring a seamless transition.
