It Business Analyst

We are currently looking for an ambitious and self-motivated University Graduate to join our Agile Software Delivery Team. As an IT Business Analyst, you will work on the analysis of changes to websites and applications that support our network of over 110 offices (both in the UK and Australia) and used by our customers to manage their training and compliance.

Working within the Agile and Scrum framework, as a new IT Business Analystyou will play a key role in the analysis of business activities to define and document processes, solutions and software requirements for the delivery of technology initiatives. You will also be involved in the quality assurance stage of the software development lifecycle.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Elicitation of requirements, product backlog management, prioritisation, and Sprint planning
• Writing User Stories that follow the INVEST principles with well-defined Acceptance Criteria
• Document business process and requirements using appropriate modelling and diagramming techniques
• Write and execute manual test scripts to support the release of functional and reliable software
• Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate using issue tracking tools
• Participate in Agile meetings and help the team to continuously improve

We are looking for an IT Business Analystcandidate who have:

• Excellent time management and organisation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Keen eye for detail
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
• Confidence and proficiency in using Web, App and desktop applications

It would be advantageous for you to have experience/ knowledge of the following:

• Knowledge of Agile/ Scrum methodologies
• User Stories
• Process diagrams
• Gathering and documenting software requirements  
• Software Testing
• Experience using work management tools such as Microsoft Dev Ops
• Intermediate Excel

Candidates for an IT Business Analystrole must have completed a relevant degree or equivalent course.
