Role: IT Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

* Design and conduct workshops, interviews, and discovery activities to extract stakeholder requirements and user stories.
* Analyse issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions while accurately documenting them.
* Validate proposed requirements with stakeholders, ensuring alignment between technical feasibility and business needs.
* Manage stakeholder expectations based on requirements and communicate dependencies, risks, and changes effectively.
* Define, document, and drive the delivery of agreed functionalities in collaboration with developers and testers.
* Produce comprehensive, standards-aligned documentation, providing accurate estimates and impact assessments.
* Validate user stories through research, data, and customer insights for informed prioritisation.
* Assist the Product Owner in Epic User Story identification, backlog prioritisation, and alignment with senior stakeholders.
* Evaluate existing business processes, suggest improvements, and contribute to designing efficient solutions.
* Scope analysis approaches from EPIC-level information to support product managers across business units.
* Budget, forecast, and manage time for BA activities while handling competing priorities and resources.
* Report progress, risks, and issues in accordance with agreed team processes.

Key Competencies and Experience

* Understanding of JIRA, Confluence, Miro, Azure DevOps.
* Background as a Business Analyst within an Agile Scrum team and portfolio development environment.
* Experience working as part of a development team.
* Experience in conceptual modelling and the ability to see the big picture and envision possible solutions.
* Experience of process modelling and systems design tools.
