Attwood Perks has teamed up with an ambitious, culture-first technology business in Norwich who are on the hunt for an IT Business Development Manager to join their growing team in on a permanent basis.

As the IT Business Development Manager, you'll need to be a self-starter and a skilled communicator with a proven track record of closing deals, whether you're speaking with clients over the phone or in-person.

This company is all about fostering meaningful relationships with people, so they're looking for a go-getter who is excited by building long-term connections and earning some commission along the way.

The Job:

  • Develop, manage, and drive the company’s sales operations
  • Identifying new Business Opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.
  • Ability to understand the needs of potential customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
  • Think strategically - setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business
  • Ability to pitch products and services to potential clients
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
  • Researching organisation and individuals via available methods to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Contacting potential clients via campaigns, emails, social media and phone to establish rapport with the view to setting up potential meetings
  • Discuss and plan marketing and promotional activity in conjunction with the Marketing department
  • Attending conferences, meetings, networking and industry events
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives and needs
  • Preparation of Proposals and negotiating pricing with customers
  • Working to predefined Sales Goals
  • Manage and develop other members of the sales team

Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or sales manager
  • Proven track record in selling IT, SaaS, Cloud products and services
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to build trust and rapport quickly
  • Relationship development to maximise current customer base
  • Time management and planning skills
