You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.
The need for this new role is driven by the growth of the IT budget and further demand on control and reporting. Working alongside the wider Finance team, you will support the IT Finance Manager in delivering all financial aspects of the IT deliverables for the largest PMD budget. In this role you’ll:

• Assist in formulating the Operational and Project Budget for the following financial year
• Assist with Quarterly and half year budget reviews
• Adaptive Planning input
• Monthly accruals and prepayments
• Purchase orders
• Invoice verification and coding
• Invoice query resolution, internally and with suppliers
• Third party cost recoveries

You’ll be someone with:

• Extensive experience of finance business partnering in an IT environment.
• The ability to explain financial matters to non-financial staff.
• Knowledge of Workday and Adaptive Planning is an advantage.
• A desire to move, over time, into the role of IT Finance Manager
• Management Accounting experience - Qualified by experience
• Workday financials knowledge
• IT Business partnering experience
• Working knowledge of IT services and product
