IT Infrastructure Engineer - £41,000 per annum - Hybrid

This is a global automotive supplier business, combining cutting edge technology with a strong business network, and global market expertise. The business has offices internationally including in Asia, Europe, and North America.
The Mission
The business has recently won 3 new contracts, springing on a period of growth and are now looking create their own IT Team!
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Engineer who wants to put their own stamp on the team. The Infrastructure Engineer will be reporting to the Global IT Lead, and will be responsible for the following:
- Infrastructure Design: Develop and maintain a comprehensive infrastructure architecture that aligns with the GHQ's policy. This includes designing networks, servers, storage solutions, and cloud services.
- Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the region's infrastructure from cyber threats. This includes designing secure network architectures, access controls, and disaster recovery plans.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced technical support and expertise in resolving complex infrastructure-related issues. Act as a subject matter expert for problem resolution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including software developers, system administrators, and cyber security professionals, to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components with applications and services.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts, procure hardware and software, and manage vendor relationships effectively.
About You
The Business is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who's proactive and can take charge, and has experience in the following:
- Proven experience in infrastructure design and architecture.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, server hardware, storage solutions, and cloud technologies.
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
