What you will be doing

Connexin is a leading technology-driven services organisation that provides innovative ISP, IoT and Digital solutions. We are committed to delivering exceptional services and products to our clients, and we prioritise technical excellence, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. To support our growth and maintain our high standards, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist to support our infrastructure, security and compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accreditations and tender responses to ensure alignment with industry standards and client requirements.
• Implement and maintain data protection measures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Establish and enforce zero trust frameworks to enhance security posture.
• Contribute to technical risk management processes to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with DevOps and other teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.
• Facilitate advanced configuration changes to optimise system performance and security.
• Handle escalations from the Network Operations Centre (NOC) and first line support, providing timely resolution and communication.
• Provide on-call technical cover to address critical incidents and maintain service availability, on a rota-basis.

Essential skills and competencies

• Strong understanding of security principles and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR.
• Knowledge of zero trust architectures and implementation strategies and best practices.
• Ability to assess and mitigate technical risks effectively.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Expertise in configuring and optimising complex systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to provide on-call technical support as needed.
• Experience and/or certification in managing environments in AWS/Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in change management principles and practices.
• Ability to drive and manage change within the organisation, ensuring successful adoption of new processes, tools and methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess project performance, monitor metrics, and provide data-driven insights.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience (at least 3 years) in a similar technical role.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, software development lifecycle, and project management methodologies.
  

Essential Qualifications

• ITIL Certification 
• Industry-related certifications

Desirable Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2
