We have a number of requirements for VMware specialists to work on number of key defence projects, playing a pivotal role creating, deploying and optimising virtualised environments, meeting individual client requirements.
Given the nature of the work and the sensitivity around the project, individuals will need to hold current and valid high level of clearance.
Key skills and experience required:
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing VMware-based virtualisation solutions, with a focus on vRealize Orchestrator (VRO), VMware Cloud Director (VCD), and NSX-T.
- In-depth knowledge of virtualization concepts, VMware vSphere architecture, and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and customization of VMware environments.
- Strong understanding of software-defined networking (SDN) principles and experience with NSX-T configuration and management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- VMware certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) are highly desirable.
