My client is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization based in Manchester. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Hands-off IT Manager to lead the internal IT operations and ensure seamless functioning of the technological infrastructure.
Job Overview:
As the Hands-off Internal IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the internal IT systems and processes. Your primary objective will be to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of the IT environment, enabling our teams to operate at maximum productivity without interruption.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic IT plans aligned with company objectives to support growth and innovation.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, optimization, and expansion of internal IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and endpoints.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain robust security measures to safeguard company data and systems from internal and external threats.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, ensuring timely delivery of services and adherence to SLAs.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT department budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal allocation of resources.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, implementing necessary controls and processes.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Provide escalation support for complex IT issues, working closely with the team to identify and resolve challenges promptly.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures, and provide regular reports to senior management on IT performance and initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the IT landscape.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within IT management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong technical background with expertise in IT infrastructure, security, and networking.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Solid understanding of IT best practices, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
