IT Operations Engineer Overview:

• As an IT Operations Engineer you will be providing proactive monitoring of key infrastructure and supporting a live production environment.
• You will be ensuring service affecting incidents are responded to, logged, investigated, resolved and escalated where necessary.
• You will be communicating effectively with senior management and stakeholders
• You will be working as the first point of contract for the production IT service and associated infrastructure for internal departments and staff members.
• You will be ensuring production systems are functioning currently via the completion of operations daily checklist.

You will need for the IT Operations Engineer position:

• A proactive approach with strong customer service skill sets
• Working knowledge of computer networking and Cisco technologies.
• Experience working with and troubleshooting windows server and Linux operating systems
• Exposure to scripting languages, including but not limited to: PowerShell, python, java, C#, C++ and SQL
• Willingness to learn new skills but have the ability to be self-managed and work independently and unsupervised
