In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the scope, team and support services. You will be responsible for managing a small team of IT Operations Analysts to ensure the delivery of IT Operations services including obsolescence, future capability & through life support. You will also have the responsibility for developing and maintaining a collection of services that support an international enterprise network. Specialist training will be available to allow individuals to develop in the role as well as opportunities for international travel to the US.

It would be beneficial if you had the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification, but this isn’t essential and can be gained whilst in post.

This role requires you to have lived in the UK for the last 10 years and obtain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance. Clearance must be obtained without any caveats that prevent you from carrying out the role you have been recruited for. If it isn’t obtained or is obtained but with caveats that prevent you from carrying out the role, any conditional offer made to you will be withdrawn. Obtaining DV security clearance can be a lengthy process. You’ll join us once Security Check (SC) clearance is obtained, and then the more enhanced DV checks will continue after you’ve started your employment. If SC clearance isn’t obtained within 12 months, we reserve the right to withdraw any conditional offer made.

What you’ll be doing
· Lead a Team of IT Operations Analysts to provide a high-quality service to customers to meet the business needs.
· Lead and facilitate the implementation of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes & framework to support and maintain service delivery.
· Support the definition of the IT Operations strategies, identifying staff, tools and specialised support requirements as necessary to improve service quality.
· Responsible for monitoring release activity and assessing the impact to service, influencing project stakeholders to mitigate outages.
· Review business processes, identify improvements, assess feasibility and pan business implications and recommend new approaches where appropriate and share in the community.
· Work collaboratively with Development Team to identify a fix to restore service and agree lesson learned.
Person specification
To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following :
· Experience of IT Operations in a large organisation.
· Demonstrate experience in delivering new services and supporting existing services in a (Windows based) Enterprise-wide domain.
