Job description

An IT Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the IT team, ensuring the availability and reliability of systems and networks, managing technology vendors, and implementing new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.

Candidate must be well versed in building partnerships with business stakeholders and maintain/manage their IT projects and software development.

Description

  • Line management of the small IT team; including mentoring, technical guidance, and performance reviews to ensure that they are meeting their goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the management and implementation of IT projects including leading daily scrum calls (using JIRA) with offshore development partners.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the IT operations with the help of offshore Infrastructure and security teams
  • Keeping senior management updated on progress relating to IT projects, implementation, and risks.
  • Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
  • Overall day-to-day administration of all system devices and peripherals, including mobile technology.
  • Managing and reporting on the allocation of the IT budget

Profile

Required Skills:

  • Experience in E-retail/e-commerce/Call centre/Warehouse or another relevant industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • 5+ years in developing and maintaining business applications using Microsoft .NET Framework, MS SQL (structure query language), Services and API and Payment Gateway or similar technologies.
  • Well-versed with SDLC, and agile methodology/practices; Identify and manage operational risks.
  • Evaluating and implementing new technologies and systems that improve IT infrastructure and support the organisation's business goals.
  • Manage IT service vendors, contracts and service level agreements and perform vendor risk assessments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in managing software projects and/or transformations for sales/warehouse/OMS/CRM domains using Agile methodology/practices & hybrid infrastructure architecture.
  • Strong understanding of software application architecture.
  • Experience in Salesforce clouds (Commerce cloud, Marketing or Service cloud) will be an added advantage.
