Job description
Claremont Fan Court School is looking for a professional who can take a leading role in the implementation and delivery of a whole-school digital strategy. This is an exciting new role with significant responsibility and the opportunity to make a substantial difference to teaching and learning and effective support operations.
We are seeking a highly experienced educational IT leader with a great understanding of emerging learning technologies who can both provide leadership and perform hands-on support and training to staff. This will require up-to-date knowledge and understanding of emerging IT technologies in the educational environment and keeping stakeholders involved and well-informed of new initiatives and their potential benefits for the school.
The role would suit an exceptional professional with a strong technical foundation, a can-do attitude and a passion for improving teaching and learning through the use of technology.
In return, you can expect all the benefits of a thriving independent school: a competitive salary, pension, professional development, cycle scheme, lunches in term time and free parking.
Further details of the role and how to apply can be found under the 'working at Claremont' link via the button below.
Closing date: Sunday 7 April 2024.
Interview date: Tuesday 16 April 2024.
We are an equal opportunities employer and are seeking applications from suitable candidates from all backgrounds. We are fully committed to creating and sustaining a positive and supportive working environment free from discrimination where staff feel valued and respected. We value individuality and diversity and believe in equal opportunity for everyone, irrespective of age, disability, gender identity, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation or socio-economic background.
Claremont Fan Court School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). All staff at the school share responsibility for safeguarding, and you will be required to undergo appropriate safeguarding training.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and the school is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
