Greater Anglia’s IT department are looking for an IT Project Manager to join the team. We have a fantastic new opportunity based in Stratford at our head office One Stratford Place (OSP). This can be a hybrid arrangement of in office and home working. This is a fixed term contract expected to last for 18 months with a potential to then be a permanent role.
The Role
The purpose of this role is to provide project & programme management across multiple projects that require IT involvement as well as managing the core IT Business As Usual (BAU) projects portfolio.
The Project Manager (PM) shall be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the designated projects throughout its project lifecycle. A key purpose of the job is to shape the project, providing structure, planning and governance to drive optimum delivery of stated benefits and desired outcomes.
Working with the Head of IT Service Delivery the PM will create a plan, manage delivery of the projects to realistic and agreed timelines in line with resource availability, capacity and ensure cost and quality parameters are managed through the delivery cycle, to meet deadlines.
The Project Manager shall engage stakeholders from across the organisation during project initialisation and the lifecycle of the project, as well as working with other business Project Managers where the project scope expands beyond IT and liaise with the Senior IT Managers to deliver the core IT BAU projects portfolio.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a colleague who has experience in Project & Programme Management delivery within IT. You should understand how to deliver technology change within an environment where multiple other change projects are simultaneously on going.
The successful candidate will be able to use structured Project Methodology and project tool kits such as Microsoft Project and Visio with accuracy.
We are looking for a self-motivated and organised individual, with the ability to work with all levels of the organisation, have effective English communication skills (written and?verbal).
