IT Project Manager (Contingency Worker)
Work proactively with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to manage the delivery of business-critical IT solutions.
This role requires the PM to work closely with the PMO and senior IT management team, Key suppliers, and business Project Managers to plan and manage IT related change to achieve business objectives on time. This role needs the capability to both act as an advisor on key Projects and a deliverer to make things happen on the ground.
The role will be based in London with travel to Cheltenham every two weeks.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the successful delivery of Change, Business, and IT projects to agreed time, cost, and quality standards.
Work with the Business Project managers and Key IT suppliers to identify all IT related tasks, define deliverables and establish governance models.
Deliver (through full lifecycle) across multiple workstreams displaying industry recognized techniques/methods.
Ensure projects are delivered to agreed time, cost, quality, TCF and compliance objectives.
Execute and manage the project plan on a day-to-day basis, monitor progress and take all necessary actions and escalations where appropriate.
Establish, lead and manage cross functional and multi-disciplined teams (e.g. Business Operations, IT, Risk, Audit etc)
Resource business or IT projects appropriately
Routinely engage with and communicate with internal and/or external Senior stakeholders.
Support the senior management decision making process.
Work in accordance with company policies, client and regulatory requirements and operational frameworks
Engage in leadership forums to share progress, lessons learned and best practices. ?

Experience and Skills
Proven Project Management track record with experience of the full project lifecycle and commercial environments, must have experience of delivering projects such as Policy Admin Systems, Data Warehouse, Mi Reporting within the Lloyds and insurance markets
Highly effective stakeholder management both internally at all levels and with third parties
Budget management experience
Able to cope with varying workload pressures and to prioritise effectively.
A professional and flexible approach

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Experience of working in the insurance industry is desirable.
Experience working within an outsourcing environment is desirable.
Knowledge and Qualifications
Relevant project management qualifications (e.g. Prince2, MSP, APM) required.
Proven track record of delivering critical IT projects within the insurance industry.
