Title: IT Project Manager
Reports to: Director, Business Solutions IT
Location: Northern Ireland
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 39¾ hrs per week
We have an exciting roadmap ahead for new products, services, production capacity and business expansion. We currently have opportunities for an IT Project Manager.
Position Details
The Project Manager will simultaneously manage several IT projects within Terex Materials processing. The projects will react to business demand and will cover all areas of the business depending on the project needs of the business with current focus on digitalisation of our manufacturing facilities within the Microsoft Power Platform. This position will be the day-to-day point person on a several projects at a time.
In this role you will be required to work with 3rd party software providers and internal and external resources to deliver seamless solutions to our internal stakeholder’s teams. The candidate is a seasoned professional with experience across multiple technologies and will provide advanced expertise in a complex project management environment along with experience in mentoring less-experienced staff. Drive standard practices in managing requests working closely with business leads. Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project-oriented work efforts. Responsible for risk identification, mitigation and escalation through proper channels. Functions on their own with limited work direction where work is reviewed periodically and on an exception basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Remotely support the roll out of IT projects across geographies (e.g.UK, DE, USA ,India, Australia) by Project Managing one or more sub-streams and acting as a liaison between the time zones when feasible
  • Managing the project plan in PPM Pro / Jira software
  • Proactive in managing project risk and issue resolution
  • Building effective relationships, particularly remotely
  • Ensuring project is staffed for success and highlighting gaps
  • Self-sufficient, requiring minimal supervision, independent but good team player
  • Setting up and tracking to project budgets
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.
  • Lead development and approval of project definition and scoping with stakeholders including clients, delivery teams, finance team and senior management
  • Support development of cost/benefit assessments and solution recommendations
  • Timely production of project deliverables: requests, SOW, finance worksheets, detailed requirements, resource planning, gate approvals, solution designs, change control, unit and regression test plans, training plans, project reviews and status reports, reports out presentations, IRAD (issues, risks, actions), lessons learned capture, project close out survey etc.
  • Facilitate project meetings such as team status, project planning, issue resolution and artifact review, and ensure conclusive results with published minutes.
  • Ensure that project objectives, scope, cost, schedule and benefits are agreed to by all stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain project schedule and resource plans including staffing and capital and expense forecast
  • Guide project teams to complete projects on time, on budget and with highest level of quality
  • Ensure that project risks are identified, communicated and mitigated for successful project delivery
  • Provide succinct communication of project status, issues, risks, decisions and responsibility assignments to project team and management
Ensure project team compliance with program/project management and governance standard

About you
Experience Level & Required Qualifications:
Education/Training
Bachelors' degree or equivalent business experience required.
Experience
4+ yrs. extensive experience in conducting complex IT projects
4+ yrs. experience in Project Management
3+ yrs. Program/Portfolio Management Experience
3 + yrs. experience in one or more areas of business or IT
Demonstrated competency in management of multiple & large projects
Experience with Agile Methodology/Teams and financial/status reporting specific to agile methodology
1+ yrs experience with application platform migration
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project / Jira Required
Ability to effectively influence people
Preferred:
1-3 Years Industry Experience
