We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile utilities clients. They are currently looking for an IT Project Manager to join them for an initial 6-month contract. However, there may be scope for extension or even a more permanent opportunity.

Job Purpose:

Liaising with IT Managers to ensure the compliance & consistency of project progress management and reporting, process, procedures and artefacts.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for cross functional IT projects, undertaking project management & coordination tasks throughout the complete Project Management Lifecycle, including but not limited to:

• Project planning, setting goals, project milestones and completion plans
• Maintaining and monitoring schedules and budgets for each project
• Leasing with team leads to track progress, issue and risk and to distribute tasks accordingly
• Tracking the progress and performance of projects
• Presenting & preparing project plans & reports
• Assessing and taking proper action to resolve project dependencies, risk & issue
• Leading project specific meetings between teams and other key business stakeholders
• Providing lessons learned & business benefit/outcomes analysis
• Providing and maintaining all project artefacts, as appropriate, to ensure information is made visible to all key project stakeholders to aid effective decision making and prioritisation
• Responsible for maintaining project documentation in-line with project risk, issue & progress along with PMO standard processes and artefacts
• Coordinating & managing projects to ensure that they are delivered smoothly on-time and on-budget with minimal interruptions in work

Location:

This is a predominately remote working role, following the first 4 weeks on site at the clients Plymouth office.

Working hours:

Standard working hours with some flex where required.
