The Team
IT Business Relationship Management is accountable for managing relationships with multiple key stakeholders. The team act as trusted partners and ensure that appropriate IT services are delivered and effectively exploited so that the University’s investment in IT achieves maximum benefit.
The Role
The University of Manchester has an exciting opportunity for you to join the Business Relationship Management team within the Directorate of IT Services. This is an important leadership role and you will be responsible for building, owning and maintaining successful relationships with customers in the University’s Schools. You will understand School strategies, plans and objectives and how IT Services enable them. You will act as a senior point of escalation and provide IT professional advice and assistance. You will surface demand for IT services and advise and consult on School-owned IT.
The Person
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- a proven track record of effective business relationship management across a complex and diverse user base
- excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- a level of confidence and professionalism amongst colleagues across the University
- excellent customer focus and a keen understanding of the business perspective
