The Role
Our prestige Client requires a field based Retail Technician is to provide a proximity support and on-site support to its UK Retail outlets in and around London and home counties
The Successful candidate will be carrying out he resolution of software and/or hardware incidents on Retail and corporate workstations , PROVIDE IT SUPPORT TO USERS , INCLUDING VIPs across the client estate.
There may be instances where Out of hours work may be needed to support retail requests and also new store Openings on Bank Holidays.
The initial term will be 12 months and then subject to further renewals if and when needed
The successful candidate will:
- Provide Desk Side support services to end users when incidents cannot be resolved remotely through the Service Desk
- On-site Provide HW Break & Fix support services at Outlets and to end users when hardware incidents need a replacement of defective whole unit by an equivalent one
- Provide Hand & Eyes support to operate technical tasks requests on infrastructure equipment, and under control of the remote administration team
- Ownership of Local equipment and data
Identify the technical aspects of problems.

▪ Determine the procedures to be followed.
▪ Take control of workstations.
▪ Assist with the settings and use of applications and resolve incidents
▪ Close tickets
▪ Assign and manage access rights.
▪ Make software and hardware changes.
▪ Install, master and configure workstations.
▪ Install applications and updates.
▪ Close completed service requests
▪ Back up user information on procedures.
▪ Do software maintenance on procedures.
▪ Install the hardware and PM maintenance
▪ Clean equipment as needed.
Candidate Profile Skills and Experience
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a background in the service of the following equipment profiles, either gained within a customer facing / field-based environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2, 2012 and subsequent
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and later
Knowledge of issues related to Microsoft technology environments complex
Knowledge of the main technologies of the telecommunications sector
Ability to perform independently the role of Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for issues and problems of TLC
Deep expertise in operational management of software products related to the environment and to the Microsoft technology and retail
Expertise in handling issues related to distributing services, security and performance of Microsoft
Skills Required:
- 3 to 5 + years Retail / IT end user support experience in different platforms
- Experienced with ITSM tools and VIP users support
- Microsoft certified professional or equivalent
- SCCM, AD, McAfee, MS Outlook, Office 365, CEGID Software, Service Now, Apple Devices including Apple Macs, Retail Products in Trading stores
- Needs to be continually learning the latest platforms and Retail technology tools
- Overall technical understanding of all IT platforms and services (e.g. networking, hardware, web development, app development, cloud computing, etc, IMAC and BREAK-FIX WORK.)
- Advance level of English (Speaking, Writing, Reading)
- Innovative and creative
- End User mindset oriented and able to be fit and travel across sites (field based) - Train
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

- Candidate must be able to travel across London (Use of London Tube) to support retail Outlets (Monthly travel card will be expensed)
Offer
Hours of Work 37.5* hours Prime Shift working Monday to Friday core working hours expected
* Hours subject to client operating windows per day
Holidays 20 days paid annual leave
Bank holidays 8 UK paid Bank jobs per year
Employment PAYE employment with Manpower as Field staff/ Associate
Candidate must be able to travel across London (Use of London Tube) to support retail Outlets (Monthly travel card will be expensed)
Salary £35,000 per year ((PAYE assignment with Manpowergroup )
Term Initial 12-month term placement, thereafter subject to renewal.
Start date Jan 2024 and subject to formal interview process
