Hays Technology are recruiting an IT Security Analyst to join a large public sector organisation working in Leeds. You will be reporting to the Information Security & Risk Lead.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for working with the IT Risk and Security Lead to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the organisation's applications, processes, and infrastructure, whilst assisting with Root Cause Analysis of incidents, response, mitigation, and reporting. You will also be mitigating cyber risks, responding to security incidents, and processing BAU security functions.
You will be working with a diverse set of stakeholders including 3rd party and partner organisations in relation to cyber security issues and provide reporting and recommendations, whilst utilising a range of Information Security tools, to identify and respond to Info Sec threats and incidents. You will also be monitoring for and responding to potential impacts of 'phishing' emails and 'pharming' activity and maintaining an awareness of emerging cyber security threats and how to manage them.
What you'll need to succeed
- Considerable and demonstrable experience of information security and IS risk management
- Understanding of key industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and Cyber Essentials
- Strong understanding and familiarity with Azure and M365 technologies
- Excellent investigative, problem solving, and fault diagnosing skills and ability to articulate solutions
- Understanding and awareness of Data Protection and GDPR
- Strong communication skills
This exciting position is paying between £45,000 and £50,000 negotiable on experience and offers an excellent work life balance including: home working, 30 days annual leave, 20% employer contribution pension scheme, flexibility, training, and development opportunities.
