The Role
- Provide technical support and advice to internal application managers on firewall and zone rules.
- Process and forward requests using ITSM tools.
- Adjust firewall communication matrices in Excel and review architectural diagrams in consultation with application owners.
- Coordinate with the firewall operating provider for the implementation of requested firewall and zone rules.
- Continuously develop and optimize the process, including automation
- Exchange and collaborate with internal colleagues of the customer on the mentioned points.
- Completed technical training (e.g., IT specialist (m/f/d)) or a degree in network/IT-related fields (computer science, IT security, etc.)
- Several years of professional experience in the enterprise, network or firewall environments.
- Strong skills for translating application requirements into firewall rules
- Strong interest in staying updated on current technologies and trends in IT
