Job description

Digital and Information Services at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented IT Service DeskTeam Leader.

As the IT Service DeskTeam Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT Service Desk team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical support services to customers.

The successful candidate will lead a team of Computer Assistants, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical expertise to ensure efficient resolution of IT-related issues and exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Academic or vocational qualifications (e.g. HND/HNC, NVQ 4 or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field).
  • Significant recent experience in an IT Service Desk/IT support role to include one year’s experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong, comprehensive technical knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, and networking principles.
