Salary: £45,585 to £56,021 per annum, depending on relevant experience
Location: Manchester, city centre.

Blue Arrow is recruiting an IT ServicesPlanning Manager for our client which is a Higher Education Facility based in Manchester City Centre. This is a permanent role paying between £45,585 - £56,021per annum depending on experience. The role will require you to manage a small team.
Summary of the role
Reporting into the Head of Planning, Capability and Culture, the IT Services (ITS) Planning Manager will lead the planning and management information function for the Directorate and feed into to the University-wide planning activities. Working closely with ITS senior leadership and other key stakeholders from across the University, the postholder will combine strategic planning and horizon scanning capabilities with performance monitoring and work portfolio management to enable the successful delivery of the ITS strategy. The ITS Planning Manager will be leading a team that will support the Directorate to mature its planning, forecasting and prioritisation capabilities through increased visibility and oversight of the ITS divisional-level work portfolios, University request pipelines and product roadmaps. They will also take a lead on coordinating IT Services' contributions to the University's annual planning and budgeting cycles and providing metrics on the overall performance of ITS against Directorate-level KPIs.
skills and experience
Extensive experience in supporting strategic and/or operational planning, preferably within an IT context.
Experience of developing and leading a newly formed team and function.
Demonstrable experience of data analysis, monitoring and visualisation on KPIs to support strategic decision making.
An ability to be a highly effective communicator who can convey complex, ideas, by drawing out the most salient points and ensuring that data is well understood by a wide audience.
Extensive experience of managing key stakeholder relationships and able to work collaboratively and effectively across organisational boundaries.
A proficiency in the methods, techniques and tools used to plan for both operational and project-driven activities.
