Job Title: IT Support Technician
Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 PLUS 25 Days Holiday (Plus BH), Flexible Working, Private Healthcare Scheme, Huge Private Pension Scheme, Vendor Certifications/Qualifications
We are looking for a confident, experience IT Support Technician to join a Market Leading EdTech provider based in Nottingham. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the day to day IT operations of the business, whilst progressing your skills. Working with the central team, you will gain varied exposure to a multitude of the latest technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all hardware and equipment.
- Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Managing all IT equipment including laptops, printers, workstations, servers and virtual machines.
- Mentoring and training end-users on software and hardware use.
- Providing technical support onsite or remotely when required.
- Configuring and maintaining networks and firewalls.
- Liaising with third party suppliers and vendors.
- Ensuring security and efficient running of all systems.
- Documenting IT processes.
Technical Skills:
- Proven IT experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Products.
- Knowledge of Firewall Security and Networking.
- Knowledge of Virtualisation Technologies.
- Knowledge of Backup Technologies.
- Knowledge of System and Network Troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
