We are supporting a technology client on the search for an all-rounded IT Systems Engineer to join an established team. The ideal candidate will have experience up to 3rd line support including infrastructure, network configuration and security. Furthermore, you will be supporting the service desk team with day-to-day system checks and triage complex 2nd/3rd line issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing 2/3rd support for complex service desk issues
- Monitor and maintain internal networks and business critical systems.
- Troubleshoot network/infrastructure related issues to ensure smooth running day to day.
- Develop a deep knowledge of current IT systems and discuss possible improvements.
- Support the service desk with both onsite and remote support during overflow periods.
Key Skills
- At least 5 years’ experience within networks and infrastructure support
- Various knowledge of IT architectures and models
- Strong networking skills including VLAN configuration and management.
- Good knowledge of VMware, cloud-based technologies, and endpoint security systems.
