Mother Technologies are looking for an IT IT Systems Engineer Apprentice to join its team in Aberdeen. This a great opportunity for a career-orientated IT professional to expand their skill-set, contribute to the expansion of a dynamic team and get under the hood of modern day IT, Telecom and Connectivity solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first line support to customers across your region
- Once you have been trained by the systems team, you will be expected to make in person visits to clients to ensure systems are running correctly and solve any possible issues/breakdowns
- Monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems using application software
- Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability for our clients
- Monitor and test application performance and identify any possible solutions, work-arounds
- You will be based at our Aberdeen office and routinely deployed to our customers premises. A full driving license is essential
Required skills:
- A foundation of computing and IT knowledge from a college/university experience or work experience/placements
- Professional in all aspects of work and gain the respect of your colleagues by being methodical, calm under pressure, logical in your approach to troubleshooting, eager to satisfy project deadlines and target SLA’s
- Confident and possess excellent personal communication skills
- You will want to develop and become a recognised master of your profession
- A logical structured approach to problem solving
- Possess full driving license
Additionally, the following experience would be beneficial:
- Experience dealing with customers or clients (retail/b2b/consultancy/freelance work)
- Proficient working knowledge of Windows Desktop
- Working knowledge of Windows Server/Group Policy
- Working knowledge of Sharepoint, M365 & Azure
- A sound understanding of basic network infrastructure components (eg, switches and WiFi equipment)
Salary:
£20,000 per annum
Working hours:
37 hours per week
