The Joint International Crime Centre (JICC) is the focal point for all International enquiries both into and out of the UK supporting national and international policing partners via the channels of INTERPOL and Europol.
Your main responsibilities will be to oversee the management of strategic and operational risk at senior level.
You will support domestic and international law enforcement for the purpose of improving the response to all crime with an international element.
This will require you to work alongside the NPCC International Portfolio, to deliver their aims and objectives, whilst supporting the NCA to deliver on threat specific Strategic Action Plans.
A key element of your role will be to represent the Joint International Crime Centre (JICC) when engaging with partner agencies and key stakeholders such as the Home Office, FCDO, CPS and international partners.
You will be responsible for leading change throughout the JICC and wider NCA international.
You will play an integral part in the continued development of the JICC by improving how we deliver existing services, identifying efficiencies and managing risk. This will include assessing additional functions that the JICC may need to create or adopt in future.
This role is a closed competition and to apply you need to be:
- A police officer at the rank of Chief Inspector on a lateral basis
- A police officer at the rank of Inspector, currently on a select list for promotion to Chief Inspector, on Temporary Promotion, and with relevant experience to the role.
- Police staff laterally or on temporary promotion.
