Joining Development Engineer

Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Joining Development Engineer to join our client's inclusive and friendly team. This full-time engineering role is based in Liverpool and offers a umbrella rate of £31.46 per hour  (Inside IR35).

As a Joining Development Engineer, you will manage vendors, suppliers and the coupon test facility. Please note that some core skills training will be provided by the company.

In your first few weeks in this Development Engineer role, you can expect to:

• Manage vendors and coupon test facilities
• Resolve Process Designer issues for joining technologies to protect the customer
• Review CAD data for joining solutions
• Advise PD of any issues and coordinate with CAE for any joint strength data.

To apply for this Joining Development Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• Proficiency with Excel and Pivot tables
• An understanding of how to progress interrogation techniques of data
• The ability to advise on best practices on Resistance Spot welding with Bosch adaptive welding with Aro Servo weld guns, Self-Pierce Riveting with Tucker guns (desirable)
• Skill with Adhesive SCA with structural as well as gap and fill applications.
