POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Junior designer to join our team in York. The ideal candidate will have some professional design experience looking to take the next step in their career as part of a successful, varied agency environment.
The team has a focus on Packaging, Point of Sale, digital and consumer experience campaigns. With clients including Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s, Pladis, Kimberly-Clark and Colgate-Palmolive, there is the opportunity to work across a varied mix of high-profile brands, and the range of projects means no two days are ever the same.
The successful candidate will have a passion for creative design with a keen eye for detail and enthusiasm to work as part of a fast-moving environment. You must have good knowledge of design software including Photoshop and Illustrator and be able to respond to a brief with a range of creative ideas supported by clear thinking and a high standard of finish.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understanding creative design briefs from clients and senior team members
- Work on projects from concept phase through successful completion.
- Develops and implements visual elements or creative concepts for project deliverables.
- Translates existing and emerging concepts into actual brand and/or product designs.
- Work collaboratively with other team members on larger creative projects
- Talk about ideas during creative meetings with clear rational.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent in the use of relevant design software for your projects (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Keynote, Powerpoint etc)
- Good communication and teamworking skills
- A good understanding of typography, illustration, logo design, communication hierarchy, colour etc.
