Elevation Recruitment are searching for a Junior Buyer to join an SME Manufacturing Business based in North Yorkshire, situated just 15 miles from Leeds and 10 miles from York. This is an amazing opportunity for an ambitious individual wanting to start a career within procurement. This will be a progressive development role where you will be closely surrounded by a team of experienced senior Supply Chain & Procurement professionals teaching you both about the business and the industry. This role will see you supporting the function and providing administrative assistance for the Purchasing & Planning team whilst learning the ropes to becoming a Buyer.
Responsibilities:
- Effective planning, purchasing, and expediting of materials
- Generate purchase orders
- Draft requests for quotations
- Invoicing
- Keeping track of stock and manage budgets effectively
- Managing the order book and scheduling
- Maintaining regular communication with other departments to streamline processes
