My Client, an East Sussex local authority, seek an organised Procurement Coordinator to support their t team in the following duties:
- Sourcing, buying, and dealing with request for quotations.
- Responding to general procurement enquiries relating to frameworks, tenders, contracts, suppliers, purchase orders and requisitions.
- Monitoring the procurement email inbox & phones, dealing with requests or forwarding as appropriate
- Providing advice on compliant purchasing, across a range of categories.
- Ensuring purchasing meets the requirements and achieves value for money.
- Maintaining the contract and savings register, coordinate and report management information and monitor supplier performance.
- You may be required to organise meetings, prepare agendas and take minutes.
The successful candidate will need:
- To have had experience working in procurement in order to have general knowledge of procurement terminology.
- Excellent IT skills, covering all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience of Public Sector procurement & relevant legislation.
- Experience using the Oracle Fusion system is preferred but not essential.
Police checks, including a standard DBS, will be carried out for the successful candidate.
