Junior Data Scientist (Statistics) - London/Hybrid - Salary - £40,000 - J12734
Are you a Junior Data Scientist who wants to roll your sleeves up and help create analytic solutions? You will be responsible for helping to produce a selection of this Company's global industry insight and products, assisting with methodology and providing detailed analysis to support internal and external customers. You will be an advisor on related data analytics matters across the company, so the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business is paramount. While primarily working with colleagues in the UK, this also involves some working across time-zones, different cultures and companies.
Key role responsibilities:
• Writing code to produce global industry insight and related outputs from various sources.
• Creating detailed analysis of industry data.
• Designing and producing visualisations and other presentations to provide insight to the Company's content team and other customers.
• Ensuring the quality, validity and applicability of the data collected for the industry insights and associated products.
• Working closely with the content and product development teams to roll out these new analyses and features for new products and services.
Education and experience requirements
• Two years industry experience of working with real-world data
• Experience in running non-trivial data analysis and delivering insights that answer internal or external requirements
• Focused on accuracy and quality throughout every stage of a project
• Must have experience working with moderate-size datasets where data accuracy and reliability at the datapoint level is key
• Successfully worked with data that requires significant validation and modification before being consumed into code
• Good knowledge of statistics as applied to data analysis
• Degree in a numerate subject
• Strong Python including NumPy and Pandas and SQL skills
• Understanding of data collection and management of substantial datasets, and of the impact of data quality
