Here is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Design Engineer looking to develop your design capabilities, and work on bespoke projects to offer variety with no day being the same.

Are you someone who likes working in a close-knit team, working on multiple projects and enjoying a fast-paced environment? This position will hone and expand your mechanical 2D/3D CAD design capabilities. The role has come about due to sheer demand and growth offering training, development, and progression routes.

The company are a leading worldwide design and manufacturer that offers a specialist shielding product using the latest materials and technologies. They support small to large-scale projects within various industry sectors across the world including medical facilities and treatments.

The role involves you producing detailed 2D/3D models in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks and design requirements are aligned to project specifications. You will work with other departments to identify and refine designs and create technical documents, reports and presentations. Complete transfers of engineering concepts to production via the MRP system and ensure work orders are progressing smoothly. Work with the procurement team to create BOMs and identify the parts required. Provide support to the wider design team on new products and technologies for existing product improvements.

The Role:

* Junior Design Engineer

* Development and detailed design of 3D models

* Ensure design requirements meet agreed standards

* Agreeing the specification and creation of associated bill of materials (BOM's)

Candidate Requirements:

* Engineering degree in Mechanical/Design or Similar

* 3D CAD Software (Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks)

* Producing detailed Drawings
