JUNIOR DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to forecast trends through the use of utilising different platforms i.e, catwalks, shows, social media and streetwear
- Deliver the wider product teams messages around; with key shapes, silhouettes, fabrics, trims and colour palettes for the season
- Back styles and key trend items for the season
- Be passionate about your vision when presenting
- Be inquisitive, always wanting to learn and absorb knowledge from your design peers and seniors
- Monitor the competition on a daily basis
- Understand best selling styles on your departments
- Understand the consumer and design to each consumer profile
- Review fit sessions with your Buyer and Garment Tech
- Contribute to the critical path with making sure initial samples are in head office on time for key meetings
- Work closely with key suppliers for tech packs and sample management
- Attend supplier meetings where possible
