Junior Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer
Permanent/Full Time

Are you Degree or HNC/HND educated with a background in Electrical, Instrumentation and/or Control

Systems?

The 2M Group of Companies are looking for an ambitious individual to join our friendly and dynamic engineering

team based in Middlesbrough, Teesside but with the opportunity to travel throughout the UK and possibly

abroad.

This is an exciting and brand-new opportunity to make your mark and support the continued growth of our

engineering department, with the opportunity to progress and become the company Electrical, Control &

Instrumentation responsible person.

What you’ll be doing…

Reporting to the Group Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (E, C & I) Engineer, you will be asked to assist them

and the engineering department with E, C & I maintenance & projects across the group, including:

• COMAH, DSEAR & BS7671 Compliance.

• E, C & I design & project support.

• Provision of close technical support to site maintenance teams.

• Functional Safety compliance & Management to BS61511.

• Development of company EC & I procedures, standards, forms & reports

Your background…

Must have…

• Degree or HNC/HND in an ECI related subject

• Working knowledge of DSEAR/ATEX

• Working knowledge of BS7671

• Working appreciation of functional safety, safety

instrumented systems & safety integrity levels

• Excellent IT skills, particularly with MS Office &

Teams

Nice to have…

• Exposure to chemicals/industrials sectors

• Functional Safety qualification

(e.g. FS Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) Certificate)

• Control system design experience

• Competent with AutoCAD and/or MS Visio for

ECI drawings
