They work from a large manufacturing unit boasting 80,000 sq ft capacity and offer a range of services including heavy steel fabrication, mechanical pipe fabrication and installation, and thermal store/buffer vessels.
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Junior Estimator will play a crucial role in supporting our estimating department in accurately assessing the costs associated with manufacturing projects. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career in manufacturing and gain valuable experience in estimation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Collaborate with senior estimators to analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for manufacturing projects.
- Material and Labor Analysis: Evaluate material requirements and labor costs based on project scope and technical specifications.
- Supplier Quotations: Obtain and review supplier quotations for materials and services, ensuring competitiveness and quality standards.
- Data Analysis: Analyze historical data and project costs to identify trends, improve accuracy, and optimize future estimates.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of estimating activities, including cost data, supplier quotations, and project specifications.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and procurement teams, to clarify project requirements and address any estimation-related queries.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
