Join our client's dynamic team who are currently seeking a passionate and GeoEnvironmental Engineer to be based in their South West office near Reading. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a rewarding career in the Geotechnical industry, contributing to Site and Ground Investigation works and supporting commercial, industrial, infrastructure, highways, bridges, residential, energy, mining and also local council projects.
As a GeoEnvironmental Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting
- Phase1, Phase 2 desk study, ground investigation
- producing factual and interpretative reports.
- Your role will involve supervising various investigation activities, such as Window Sampling, Cable Percussion, Rotary Coring, and Trial Pitting.
- In addition to site work, you will engage in soil and rock logging, sampling, and efficiently managing the collection and storage of samples.
Beyond Geoscience, the role involves participation in Utilities and Surveying, which provides opportunities to expand your skill set during lulls in geoscience projects. The position extends beyond site work to include reporting and CAD work and offers a well-rounded experience in different aspects of the field. For those with 6-18 months of experience, the company encourages three days per week in the office. Facilitates mentor-ship and collaboration. Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
- 3-6 months of experience in a similar role or an internship where you completed CAT & Genny Training and first aid training
- Experience in soil and rock logging and sampling.
- Experience in collecting and storing samples, managing chain of custody's, liaising with labs, and preparing samples for collection.
- Clean driving license.
