Junior / Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Unite People Civils are working with a highly reputable civil engineering contractor to hire either a Graduate or Junior Quantity Surveyor for a fixed term salary position, to work on a major project in Manchester, due to commence imminently.

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor based on site. You will be initially working on a multi-million pound scheme in the North West, Greater Manchester area; you will play a pivotal role in supporting the commercial team in various aspects of Quantity Surveying.

You will benefit from working with an experienced commercial team daily, continuously developing your skill-set whilst managing elements of the commercial process independently over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Purchase Orders
• Assist with payments
• Assist with sub-contractor accounts
• Assist with collation of information for preparation of Compensation Events
• Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
• Collaborate with project team

Qualifications

• Construction related qualification
• Strong analytic and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, cost estimating software).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take initiative when necessary.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
