​About the role

Reporting to the Service Desk Manager, you will be responsible for providing remote and onsite support to DA internal stakeholders as well as external DA customers, across various sectors. You will be part of the wider Service Desk team and work closely with the Business Systems & Process Manager to ensure a high level of service delivery within the business.

In this role, you will get exposure to the full IT landscape (not just a subset of the technology) so that you can learn about the latest technologies and different ways to resolve technical issues.

DA will sponsor your professional development, offering opportunities to pursue various Microsoft certifications and provide you with access to the industry-renowned training platform (e.g. Pluralsight) so that you can progress your career within the Service Desk.

This role is office-based, Monday to Friday. You will be based in our London (Holborn) office.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for internal service requests, for example (but not limited to) PC/laptop builds, starter/leaver processes, and new joiner IT inductions.
  • Log and progress tickets within our ConnectWise Manage platform, following the established process and best practices.
  • Manage your ticket queue - investigate and resolve tickets, collaborating with the wider service desk team and other technical experts to ensure swift resolution.
  • Escalate tickets as and when required following the process at all times.
  • Communicate clearly and timely with users, setting and effectively managing their expectations.
  • Document solutions and create or update guides for the service desk knowledge base.
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful working environment, leading by example.

Skills and experience

  • GCSE (Information and Communication Technology or Computer Science)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent spoken and written English (ability to write clear and detailed notes, and effectively communicate with users verbally, face to face or via a digital channel)
