About the Role
We are seeking a Junior IT Support professional to join our Infrastructure team in London. As a part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day IT operations. This position involves working from our London office five days a week and it is a one-year contract position, serving as a temporary replacement for a team member on leave.We offer you the opportunity of being part of a high-performing operations team!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware issues on laptops, printers, and video conferencing systems.
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of Windows, Mac, Linux OS and Office 365.
- Basic knowledge of networking to assist in troubleshooting.
- Manage the end-to-end new starter and leaver processes.
- Promptly address and resolve user issues reported through the service desk, and respond to tickets or requests from the IT infrastructure team.
- Troubleshoot connectivity problems on London network devices.
- Follow established procedures for the proper escalation of unresolved issues to the relevant internal teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in a Computer Science discipline or a minimum of 1 year of directly related experience.
- A natural inclination to assist users with computer-related issues.
- Ability to communicate technical details in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong commitment to quality work and a passion for infrastructure operations.
- A collaborative team player who excels in communication and achieving results through cooperation.
