Great opportunity for a recent graduate or junior software Developer with 1-3 years post grad experience.
We are working with a small GIS software consultancy - based near Tadley
They are going through an exciting period and working on some very interesting web-based GIS and Earth Observation software solutions.
They are looking to hire a Software Engineer - This opportunity will be suitable for passionate individuals looking to make a real difference, motivated to learn skills and technologies and contribute to the wider team, several of the projects they're involved are on the verge of successful launches and would be propel this company to the next level - an truly exciting time to join.
Due the ambition of the company and the MD, there is real opportunity to become an integral part of team at the early stages and to share in the success and development and future company profit.
Ideally you will have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. computer science and be proficient in Python - We are keen to speak with individuals with all levels of experience.
Skills/Experience we would love to see on your CV:
- Javacsript, React
- Python with associated libraries (e.g. Flask, Django, Numpy, Requests Dask etc)
- PostgreSQL
- Nginx or Apache
- Github, Docker
- Windows, Linux
- Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
If you have any knowledge or experience in working with the below technologies that would be great:
- Queueing technologies (e.g. Redis, Celery)
- Python geospatial libraries (e.g. GDAL, Shapely, PyProj, Rasterio, Geopandas etc)
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Terraform etc)
- Knowledge of GIS and Earth Observation data formats (e.g. GeoJSON, GeoTIFF, COG etc)
- OGC standards/services
