Junior Management Accountant

SF Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside a high growth, PE backed business based near Quinton in their search for a highly motivated and ambitious Junior Management Accountant to join their highly visible, high achieving finance team. This role is a key hire for the team to ensure the team are able to continue to drive the business forward through more expected growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has some finance experience looking to take the next step in their accounting career. 

You will be given ownership of key areas of your divisional management accounts packs, have the opportunity to learn and develop underneath equally driven senior Management Accountants and be offered opportunities to progress within the team or other teams in the business. This role offers a flexible, hybrid working pattern. 

• Perform revenue analysis and provide insights to improve financial performance
• Handle billing queries and ensure accurate and timely invoicing
• Post journals accurately to maintain the integrity of financial records
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and process accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Support the senior Management Accountant in financial analysis and reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights for decision-making
• Adhere to financial regulations and company policies

• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferable
• Studying Professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA or AAT qualified

• Strong understanding of accounting principles 
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
