Responsibilities:
- Providing design assistance for components and assemblies in the 3D CAD environment through solid and surface modelling.
- Support the creation of drawings and specifications to relevant standards against the project plan.
- Understand the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system for data control and release.
- Support design team members with peer reviews.
- Support administration of prototype and production builds through design reviews, system arrangement drawings and sub system BOMs, onsite support to manufacturing and test.
- Support the team to liaise with and support purchasing and suppliers.
- Involvement in problem solving using a structured approach.
- Support the administration of investigation of new products and technologies and to support existing product improvements.
- Support the analysis of engineering data, this will include calculations.
- Interact with internal departments and suppliers where necessary to support the Design Engineering team.
- Ensure that all activities are documented.
- Support the development of internal processes to ensure best practice.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BEng or equivalent in Mechanical engineering (other similar degrees will be considered) and a minimum of 2 years in a product design or development role.
- Some design experience of mechanical parts and systems including powertrain, drivetrain & hydraulics preferred would be preferred.
- Proficient with UGNX (preferred) or equivalent CAD system
- Microsoft Office software.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the organisation.
- Understand problem solving skills.
- Experience of being involved in an engineering phase gateway process for development and validation.

- Primary hours are 9am to 5pm however candidate needs to be flexible
- 5-day week
