SalarySouthend Medical Centre has an exciting new opportunity, for a qualified and experienced Junior Nurse to support our Practice Nurse on a part-time (22.5 hours), fixed term contract to cover maternity leave starting on 20.05.2024. The working days are Monday, Thursday and Friday with the preferred hours of 9am - 13:30pm, 2:30pm - 5:30pm however the hours are negotiable for the right candidate.
This role would suit a qualified Nurse at the beginning of their nursing career who wants to establish their role in general practice or an experienced Practice Nurse who would like to a greater work-life balance by stepping back into a lighter role.
You will work under the guidance of our Registered Practice Nurse, supporting the organisation and facilitating clinical care in a holistic and proactive manner to patients registered at the practice. Your role will also include maintaining a high professional standard of nursing care in adherence to all practice protocols/policies and guidelines, as well as to provide nursing assistance to the GPs and other members of the primary healthcare team.
The role is flexible in line with the present atmosphere for change within the health service.
It is essential that the Nurse works within their own level of competency and expands her/his role in accordance with practice requirements and own scope of practice.
